Welcome to Rhinestone, the biggest small town this side of the Mississippi! If you’ve ever loved a place full of quirky, lovable characters, Dirty Laundry is your ticket. This is where the Magnolia Manor saga begins, and I hope you’ll want to stay a while.
In Dirty Laundry, you’ll meet a cast of characters who are as messy and complicated as they are endearing. Life in Rhinestone is never dull; there are family feuds, small-town gossip, and more than a few secrets waiting to be uncovered. It’s a story about love, laughter, and learning to navigate the chaos that comes with the people you can’t help but love anyway.
When I first wrote Dirty Laundry, I wanted to capture the warmth and charm of small-town life while also celebrating the imperfect beauty of family and friendship. I sat down to write a funny novel during the Covid-19 pandemic when the world desperately needed an outlet and a laugh. It was cathartic, to say the least. I never imagined that this would turn into what it has. For that I will forever be grateful.
Some of these characters were inspired by people I’ve met in life; family, friends, and people I met in passing. Writing this book was a joy because I got to spend time in Rhinestone myself, laughing and crying along with everyone else. It was like watching a movie unfold in real time. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in a town where everyone knows your business (and isn’t afraid to comment on it), Dirty Laundry is a must-read. I promise you’ll laugh and you’ll fall in love with Rhinestone and Magnolia Manor just like I have. Once you start, you won’t want to leave!
